Qualitative, descriptive mineragraphy is provided using a pictorial A4 template, which combines two annotated digital photomicrographs with an adjoining concise narrative. Each mineral is identified and its volume% estimated by point counting. The various textural types of each mineral are described, together with typical grainsizes, common mineral associations and the interpreted paragenetic sequencing.
